Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
I’m wondering if its possible to force a synce between scoutbook and my.scouting so that we can renew and re-charter. Ive added an adult (which in itself was a process) but they show up as “Not on official unit roster in my.Scouting”
If someone knows if this is possible and whats needed on my end thatd be great as we expire soon.
@StephenDavis1 This user is not currently registered with your pack.
Has he tried multiple registration? Have him try logging in to his account at my.Scouting, go to “My Application”, then click on the “Transfer / Multiple Applications” tab. After he applies as a multiple, your unit’s Chartered Org. Rep. (or COR Delegate) will need to approve the online application using the Application Manager.
If that does not work, you might need to work with your local council to get him added to your official roster so that your unit can renew.
Hi Jennifer,
I forwarded that to them. Just wanted to make sure i was following it right and had things correct.
I added them on scoutbook.scouting.org and see them in the system there as a committee member but says they’re not on my.scouting.org
I see them on advancements.scouting.org as a committee member but "Needs to Register’ is shown.
They don’t show up on my.scouting.org and when i go to look at my renewal, i see this -
Error: Unit does not have required number of leadership positions Positions Affected:
Committee Chairman
If they go through and applies as a multiple, we should be in the right spot to renew and then add the appropriate scouts so that we can correctly recharter, right?
@StephenDavis1 The official roster is at my.Scouting, not in Scoutbook.
You need the Chartered Org. Rep. (at my.Scouting) to approve the adult application. Your pack does not currently have a registered Committee Chair. You need to have one in order to renew the pack.
@JenniferOlinger
I think I have a similar issue.
My BSA ID 117977097.
My current position appears to be expired 12/31 in my Troop but I paid with the Pack and it doesn’t expire until 7/31.
I don’t see the Troop in under my Memberships tab under Application.
If you are in multiple councils it falls on you to talk to primary council so other councils know you are paid - at least in my book - councils cannot see other council info
@DonovanMcNeil
My issue is my Primary Membership is with the Pack and my Multiple in the same Council is not showing up under My Application → My Membership in my.scouting.org.
All of my other positions in that same Council appear there and have the “Active Renewal” designation next to it, including a linked Troop.
