Scouting America has been working to migrate payment log functionality to Scoutbook Plus as part of the greater migration from Scoutbook Legacy. In doing so, the decision was made to move away from Paypal and integrate with Scouting America’s payment platform powered by Stripe.
When Payment Log functionality is LIVE in Scoutbook Plus, payment log functionality in Scoutbook Legacy will be turned off. Payment Log functionality is scheduled to go LIVE in Scoutbook Plus on 4/13. Units that want to allow online payments, will need to create an account with Stripe in their “Unit Settings” to “turn on” online payment capability in Scoutbook Plus, and Paypal integration will no longer be supported.
This will be available to do in Scoutbook Plus on 4/13
Your first step will be to go to “Settings” in Scoutbook Plus. You will need one of the following positions in your unit to allow online payments otherwise Online Payment account Setup WILL NOT display in the settings

TreasurerYouth and adults who pay unit charges online though Scoutbook Plus will see a processing fee of 3% (This 3% fee is consistent with the administrative fee associated with online registration for Scouting membership.)
