Multiple Membership Rules Inquiry

Can someone direct me to a list of positions that allow/don’t allow multiple memberships to be added to them?

I was informed that Council Members at Large cannot be used as a primary to add a multiple (e.g. Merit Badge Counselor).

Are there other member types that fall into this same bucket? Did I receive misinformation?

Ask Council @AdamCaskie - but basically I believe it is Paid vs. Free positions - paid you can add multiple too

I believe council members at large are the same cost as unit-level positions now. MBCs are no longer free, so it seems like you should be able to multiple as an MBC.

I think we are heading into policy territory rather than the technical support the forums are now supposed to be :slight_smile:

There is an issue in the online registration system in my.scouting.org that prevents anyone registered only at the Coucnil level (and possibly District) from seeing the Multiple/Transfer link to add a second membership. Also the online process does not handle Merit Badge Counselors.

You need to contact your Council to register in a unit.
