My.Scouting Position Assignment

I have an adult who is showing up on our my.scouting roster as both an Assistant Scoutmaster and a Committee Member. He should be assigned as a Committee Member.

This person was previously our Scoutmaster and stepped down. When he did so I moved him into an Assistant Scoutmaster position initially, but then he decided to fill a role on the Committee a couple of weeks later. I tried to change his position, but he is now showing up in both positions and I am unable to remove either of them. I contacted council and they said it was an error triggered by reassigning him in too short of a time period and they weren’t able to correct it. Is there a way to remove his duplicate position and assign him as a Committee Member only?

The leader is in the Sam Houston Area Council, Member ID 12389781

Yeah basically the Committee Member is in a Renewal grace period - which is a known issue that is annoying. It has no effect on the unit.

Is there any resolution to this issue / way to force the position change? It is causing issues because the leader is assisting our scouts working towards Eagle and we would like him to sit on and facilitate Eagle BoR’s, but he’s not really supposed to do so as an Assistant Scoutmaster.

@GrantBetz that is no way is going to effect the scout or the unit - just let him do the BOR. Or try to convence the council to send in a national ticket for it.

But if an EBor that might be more the Councils decision on who serves on the EBOR - it varies Council to Council
