Page loading issues

While using Scoutbook Plus, the details are taking forever to load or not displaying. While using F12, I am seeing HTTP 504 and CORS errors both in Chrome and Firefox after doing a Shift-F5. It seems like there is a few web servers not behaving.

The requirements version in the dropdown shows “104” instead of expected “2024 current”

Did the Sep 13 update not successfully deploy to production?

@DustinSouers - that was an update for address edit

No, it seems like the update not get properly deployed to all the servers. I was not having issues with entering advancement before Sep 13th.

I am trying to use the site with cors off and and is still having issues. Getting 504 GATEWAY_TIMEOUT messages.

The mobile app also gets “Unable to fetch/update user adventures. Please try again later.”

Yes, I know there was an update. Changes/updates can introduce errors. The error could be backend servers, databases, load balancers, etc. Is there testing done after rollouts to ensure functionality?

I’m trying two different browsers (Firefox and Chrome), two different internet connections (cable and cell) and still experiencing issues.

Maybe it is not broken for everyone, but it is frustrating.

Looks like Chrome worked to upload the screenshot, but not Firefox, or I lucked out with a server that isn’t having issues.

@DustinSouers - if you cant upload a grab to the forums then something is up on your side

The forums are independent of Scoutbook as they are discussions.scouting.org

@DustinSouers - have you tried a private or incognito session in firefox. I primarily use firefox and have no issues whatsoever.

504 Gateway errors and CORS issues are not client side.

Is it a regional issue with AWS?

We cannot say what is causing these errors. The developers have been notified.

@edavignon - I can not seem to reproduce the error on firefox or chrome

I am getting the same forever loading roster and not loading scout information issue, that @DustinSouers is getting today. This post is to hopefully keep informed when it is resolved.

@AmyPosey - issue resolution notification is done via the change logs.
