Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
When I created a new event and tried to add service houses, the State and the Type of Project are grayed out and will not let me enter any information. As a result, I cannot credit a Scout with service hours he performed back in June. (I would send a screenshot but it won’t let me take one either.)
My browser is Chrome, .The event is Horizons Atlanta - Galloway Campus on June 25, 2025.
I am using Chrome only because, from time-to-time Internet Advancement/Scoutbook+ will not allow me to us Firefox.
Try backing out of the Activity log, do a hard refresh and try again. When I tried this to make sure I had the correct question, I was able to change the project type. Note there is a little delay from answering the eagle question to project type being enabled. State was always enabled despite being gray.
I let it percolate for a couple of days and just went back in - everything worked the way it is supposed to.
One note about the state issue: When I was originally trying to add the state (which was grayed out) it did not even let me access the list of states, etc. Today it was fine,
One other thing I want to mention (which was in a topic I posted about a while back), but I am still having intermittent issues which accessing Scoutbook+ when I am using Firefox. Sometimes I can move smoothly from Scoutbook to Scoutbook+ while using Firefox; other times (sometimes on the same day), I get:
I haven’t been able to detect a pattern to the rejections and have learned to work around it by using a different browser (that I don’t like) but it still is annoying)
