We have a Lion Cub who has finished the 6 required adventures and 1 of the 2 elective adventures, so 7 out of 8 total adventures. Scoutbook Plus lists him as 75% complete. Shouldn’t that be 88%? Member ID 141037361.
@PeterCollinge it is just the way the REQ is written - it views the 2 elective adventures as one total - not a % like meritbadges I bet. But I will ask.
Thanks for the thought, Donovan. But if the 2 elective badges are one requirement, then my Cub has completed 6 of the 7 requirements, so that should be 86%. In any event, 75% doesn’t seem accurate no matter how I try to understand it.
There are two requirements. One is 100% done. The other is 50% done. Right?
Jacob, that’s an interesting way of looking at it. But I have another Lion who has completed 4 of the 6 required adventures and 0 of the 2 electives. Using the method you described, she would be 67% done with the required adventures and 0% done with the electives. But Scoutbook Plus shows her as 50% completed (4 out of 8 adventures needed), which seems like the logical way that most parents and leaders would expect. So why is the percentage for this Lion (#141325645) shown as a percent of all adventures needed, but the percentage for the original Lion is somehow calculated differently in a way that would confuse most parents and leaders (7/8 = 75%!)?
