Religious Awards in Scoutbook

I am looking in Scout book as a parent and as an adult leader and I cannot locate the section for Religious awards for the youth or the adult leaders? Is this not a function of scout book that can be tracked for the members? If not will this be added. I have members of both the troop and pack looking to complete religious awards of many different faiths, and I cannot currently locate this information. Please advise or if anyone knows what I am asking for and I am missing something.

@JoshBradac - only the religious knot can be entered via the awards section for youth only. The medals are NOT the property of the BSA and can not be added or displayed.

Adding to what Stephen posted, the individual faith groups who sponsor Scouting-related religious emblems often have their own websites with information about how to obtain copies of the detailed requirements and how to get sign-offs from faith leaders for those requirements. There’s information here:

https://www.scouting.org/awards/religious-awards/chart/

and your local council may be able to put you in touch with the relevant local faith leaders who sponsor/support these programs.

Since those requirements are controlled externally to the BSA (and the certification of their completion is often by individuals outside of scouting), the specific awards won’t appear in Scoutbook. However, the universal religious emblem knots for youth (and maybe adults?) do appear in the awards section.

So how does that make any sense if the link that wa provided to me in the other response is coming directly from scouting.org? It would be nice to have a section on scout book to view the awards and requirements to track. I am not referring to on religion but they should all be able to do that. The format could be the same to have like for a STEM award or even a merit badge. Just the basic requirements and then the pamphlets would be the official tracking methods. Or something like that.

I still don’t follow how BSA is not the owners of the medals?

@JoshBradac - that is because the medal and awards are owned by P.R.A.Y. publications and not the BSA. The BSA recognizes when someone earns it by presenting the religious knot.

to display them or provide anything other than the knot would enter into an intellectual property and copyright dispute.
