Roster Error for Patrols in Scoutbook

Need help please with Patrols showing incorrect in Scoutbook. Hope all the screenshots are OK, as I think it needs to be shown rather than just described.

A couple of months ago we updated the Patrols in Scoutbook Plus. There are 4 Patrols; Cobra Kai, Tuff Knuckles, Senior Leader, Inactive/Departure. They show correct in Scoutbook Plus.

However, Scoutbook Legacy shows the 4 correct Patrols, then 2 extra patrols (both called Patrol 1 Oscar). These 2 extra patrols were originally created, and subsequently deleted in Scoutbook Plus. You will note they don’t have a “green tick”. This was all done at the same time as creating all the Patrols.

Additionally, the 6 Scouts in the two “Patrol 1 Oscar” also are listed under “Scouts not in a Patrol” (even though they are now under 3 Patrols: Tuff Knuckles, and Patrol 1 Oscar x 2).

Now that Patrol editing and deletion etc is done in Scoutbook Plus, I cannot even locate these 2 patrols in that system to try and do anything about them. It also doesn’t explain why they are showing under “Scouts not in a Patrol”. Does anyone know how I can remove these Rouge Patrols in Scoutbook?

Weirdly the drop down menu in Scoutbook is still correct:

The only reference I can find in Scoutbook Plus to this Patrol is under the Profile of the Scout it still states this old patrol under the sub unit (this is my son, so not disclosing info without consent)

Finally, Scoutbook has now replicated all the scouts in the 2 “Oscar” patrols and the “not in a patrol” when you go to send an email to them it has them listed FOUR times. They only get one email though. But it’s made our list of Scouts to scroll though HUGE!

Thanks for your time reading my long post. Hope someone can help! Otherwise…how long until Scoutbook retires?

@JoanneKnight- first thing is NEVER post captures with scout info in a public forum. Second if things are correct in scoutbook plus then that us good. Third there is little save for messages, payment logs and mbc functions that you will need in scoutbook classic. As far as the duplicates you can check the membership section for those scouts in classic and see if there are multiple current membership listings. There should only be one.

@DonovanMcNeil Sorry I hope you are the person to ask. I thought this sending a question to the scoutbook help team, rather than posting it publicly - I was in a rush and someone had asked me to get help from here. I saw another post with scout’s numbers etc in, so I thought it would be OK, especially since it’s my own kid. Can you please delete this post for me? I don’t think there’s a fix for it anyway, which is super frustrating.

@JoanneKnight- did you read what I had posted ?

Thanks for taking the time to reply. It’s all correct in SB+. It’s just confusing our scouts who send their emails via scoutbook, and our advancement chair & MB coordinators were not happy. My own son is one of the scouts affected, and I know his membership is all fine with no duplicates. I’m not sure on the timeframes for Scoutbook going, but they will just have to deal with it I guess.

@JoanneKnight I would first guess your unit is jumping between Legacy and SB+ Way Too Much. SB+ is basically all that is needed.

If scouts seem to have too many patrol memberships, I would go to legacy > Scout > memberships and put end dates on bad patrol memberships. Then just stay in SB+ for all things other than assigning MBCs, Payment logs and messages

Thank you. I’ll try that. Yes I think it’s a learning process - we had a lot of issues at the changeover too as most of our MBCs are our ASMs/SMs too (over two units), and originally we didn’t realize the importance of using legacy for the MBC related stuff. We do use SB all the time for messages though.
