Scout w/ two spellings

Hi SUAC,

I have a scout and parent/leader with two MIDs each due to two spelling variations.

Thank you for working this.

The scout name is the same for the scout’s registered account and the parent/ASM’s relationship, but the parent name from the scout’s relationship is different, so scout has two accounts.

The parent/ASM has two accounts with almost the same name; the registered one with an apostrophe and a not registered one without an apostrophe shown in the scout’s relatioship.

  • registered MID 134393738, youth with apostrophe, relationship to parent w/o apostrophe
  • registered MID 12943270, parent/ASM with apostrophe, relationship to scout w/ apostrophe

Edit: added more information in response to @DonovanMcNeil response below.

If it is a MID issue that is better for Councils to resolve as it could involve registrations - we can fix SB Users, but MIDs are different. @DougWright - and even to look at it we would need all the MIDs not just one each

@DougWright Please contact your local council and ask them to use the Registrar Tools to look up the Scout under MID 134393738. In the “Relationships” tab / section, they should remove the parent under the secondary BSA member ID number. Then they should add the parent under the parent’s primary BSA member ID number: 12943270.
