I had an issue on ScoutBook with Completion Date changing on Scout’s award. He completed all the merit badges required by 12/17/21 and award deadline was 12/31/21. When the Leader approved it after holiday break was over the date changed to current date. I’m now the Advancement Chair and tried to fix date and it changed ot again to current date and not Completion date.
@LindaSmith4 - could you post some screen shots of this and the bsa id of the youth.
Most likely you are looking at audit data not the completion date, but if you post the BSA Member ID of the Scout (no names) we will check the actual date in the database.
I see the issue - council can change the date for you - it has been reported - no idea when / if it will be fixed
Just so you know that this is not just a “gal thing”, I have noticed for some time what Stephanie, Jessica, and Linda have complained about. The date in Scoutbook reverts to the current date.
@HubertShaffer - what exactly is the point of your post. A database does not care about gender
It seems as though you are implying that items are not fixed when posters with female names report them?
@HubertShaffer - well you know those icky females take over and ruin everything
I just discovered the same issue for badge requirements with subsets (i.e 1a, 1b1, 1b2, 1b3, etc.) It is showing the overarching requirement completion (i.e. 1 and 1b) as the date of entry instead of the actual date of completion which then causes the badge to show as completed on the date of entry. This is not happening on requirements without subsets.
@MaryWestfall - there is a little know thing in scoutbook that if you scroll down to the bottom of a list of reqs it will auto quick entry for the current date.
@MaryWestfall I think I see what you are saying - let me take a look
@MaryWestfall good catch - not sure when that was introduced - it is something new - we have it reported to Developers
@MaryWestfall the immediate work around if you need a correct date MB Complete Date is to clear the req dates and just use an overall complete date for whole Merit Badge
@DonovanMcNeil Thank you!
