SYT- Can it be facilitated by a trainer?

Hello,

I am working with a unit that is unable to complete its recharter because the Chartered Organization Representative has not renewed their SYT.

The COR is elderly and is unable to use a computer, which makes completing the online training difficult. Are there any options available in this situation—such as an in-person SYT training, assisted completion, or a process to move the charter forward due to extenuating circumstances?

Any guidance provided would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have not heard of any in person SYT. My suggestion is someone sit down with the COR and a laptop facilitate the COR completing SYT.

Facilitated training materials are available in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, and Chinese for council designated youth protection champions – see your Council Executive for access to these materials.
