Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
We have Sub Units in our Pack that are youth that will be dropping from our roster at our next rechartering but are still listed with our Pack. We have been able to create Pack Event types in the past where we can select the appropriate Sub Units rather that Select All, which would include families no longer wishing to continue with Scouting or those that have Crossed Over to the Troop.
I was trying different Event Types (which seems to have changed somewhat in the past few months or so to include different event types than before) to see if that was a limiting factor, but they are still grayed out:
I have the same use-case as @SDiBartolo and I’m having the same issue with existing events and new events. When I duplicate an existing event, I’m able to add one sub-unit. But as soon as I add the first sub-unit, the others gray out.
I’m unit Key 3, so this shouldn’t be a permissions issue. I have positions in several different units, but I verified I’m using the correct role. I also did the a hard refresh. This has been happening for at least few days on different devices.
I have the same issue, it is greying out sub units. With over 60 scouts I have to hand pick out a dozen of no longer in the program scouts that are still on our roster. Please fix. Also what happened to the Cub Scout related event types?
Any update? We are considering moving to troop web host. Not sure how much has been spent on scoutbook, but it has been an incredible source of frustration over the past few years for me.
I had previously been able to just select the unit calendar and still be able to select a sub-unit. I just tried to just select the sub-unit calendar and sub-unit meeting as the event type and the sub-unit is still grayed out.
