Hello, I hope you’re doing well. I am the advancement chair of my troop and recently got access to Scoutbook. I attempted to clear out my notifications, but I may have marked all the previous advancements as “Awarded,” including from years past and Eagle Scout ranks. Is there a way to undo this action on your end? It should be all be from 10/4. I apologize for the confusion. Thank you!
Adding to Donovan’s remarks, one of your Unit admins/Key 3 may be able to pull the Audit Log Report to help identify the ones that were marked Awarded in the last day or so. That at least could get you started on a roadmap for what needs undoing.
understood. does marking advancement as “awarded” update anything on National records? in other words I didn’t approve any new advancement, so it’s only a UI change, right?
The only impact that might apply is that, once marked Awarded, items will no longer appear on open POs. Thus, if the unit hasn’t already purchased/awarded the items, you’ll likely want to roll them back (or at least track down which ones they were) so you can purchase and distribute them.
Right. The troop also uses Troopmaster, a third party software, and I was taught how to use the COH report and PO function on there from our previous chair. We double enter everything in Scoutbook as well, to sync with National, but the troop mostly uses Troopmaster (90% of parents/scouts prefer the TM app UI, hence why I wanted to clear out the Scoutbook notifications).
