World Conservation Award - Merit Badge Population

I am trying to fill in the World Conservation awards and I keep receiving the error, “This Requirement can’t be updated. This requirements has linked advancements.” What does this mean? Am I doing something wrong? This is specific to “checking off” the merit badges, which would be nice if they auto populated.

@RussLeadbetter let me check - I kind of think that is retired anyway?

@RussLeadbetter - if they completed the merit badges I think that auto completes the related requirements. That appears to be the case with one of my scouts. If the scout does not have them completed in their record then you can not override that

Thanks for checking Stephan. They do have the merit badges completed, but the dates did not auto populate. Any thoughts on if I am doing something wrong with the initial Merit Badge signoff?

yeah mine did not auto complete either - You can probably just complete the whole award too.

@RussLeadbetter - i did check further… the MB are showing as approved..so perhaps that is the key

I did think about just approving the whole award, but I am not sure the scout has finished everything, they approached me last night and wanted me to sign off what was done, so they would know what was left.

https://www.scouting.org/awards/awards-central/ - the award is not here - so it probably no longer exists - am chekcing

this award is somewhat controlled by World Scouting - it is being redone - so I would not expect IT to touch this award until the new one is out.
