I posted a couple weeks ago about an issue I am having with ScoutBook Plus activity logs, but didn’t check back in time to continue the dialogue. Reposting below hoping to get some help.

So, I have done a lot of research and applied every listed “fix” and “verification” and still can’t update Activity Logs.

I am a registered Den Leader on mr.scouting.org (verified), I am using my “Den Leader” role (verified) in Scoutbook Plus, I have “Activity” Permissions - Approver/Creator/Remover/Editor listed on my permissions in my profile on ScoutBook Plus. However, when I click on activity logs there is no “+” pr “Printer” for me to click on.

I was able to do it last year and logged all of our Service Hours, Camping Trips and Hikes. This year, I haven’t been able to log a thing.

Ever since the transition from Legacy to ScoutBook Plus this year, the system has been a nightmare. Most we have been able to get fixed, but this one no one can figure out.

Can someone please help me figure out what is wrong and how to fix this. I am part of a pack with a lot of transient military families and these records are important for them to keep an accurate account of what they have done in order to prevent them having to start over.

Also, if our Den Leaders (almost all active duty military) move they need to ensure their scouts records are up to date for the Den Leader that takes over.

Any help would be appreciated. Especially if the Webmaster sees this and can help troubleshoot my account and get this fixed.

I assigned to a den in plus. I can do everything else I need to as a den leader. The blu plus in the bottom right corner is not visible or the blue button on the top right that says create activity.

@JasonPalmer2 - have you tried this:
From the roster view can you select one of the scouts in the den and record an activity log entry for them.

You are entering the activity log at the unit or top level and you DO NOT have rights there. You have to work at the den level

Thank you for that explanation. I did not try it that way. I will try that this afternoon and see if it fixes the problem. I’m the past, I was able to do it without selecting a specific scout and could add it tot he activity calendar.

makes sense that with the new permissions this might be the issue. I’ll let you know how it goes.
