Activity log in scoutbook

I’m trying to add hiking miles and nights camped in a scout’s profile in scoutbook but it just keeps kicking me to a report and I don’t see any way to add information. Any pearls of wisdom out there?

@ArdenAnderson - the first question is your role in the process… Parent or leader, if leader what is that role defined as in my.scouting ?

Chartered Org rep, Advancement Chair and Parent.

@ArdenAnderson - thanks… now when in advancements.scouting.org do you notice a scouting emblem of some kind in the right side of the header. If you click on that it should provide a drop down since you have multiple roles. If you see your unit listed I would select that unless this is for your own scout.

I’m trying to do it for my scout right now but I have others to input as well. I see that if I log in as a parent I can create a hike. Thanks for your help!

Oh… log in as a parent… you should not have different logins… which could be a root cause.

I don’t have different logins but various roles from the drop down menu. When I toggled to “Parent” it let me create a hike but when I went to save the hike it was rejected with an error message.

This is what I get:

Error validating JSON. Error: - Invalid type Null, expected Integer for memberId - Missing required field ‘personGuid’ - Invalid type Null, expected Integer for memberId - Missing required field ‘personGuid’ - Invalid type Null, expected Integer for memberId - Missing required field ‘personGuid’ (org.mule.module.apikit.exception.BadRequestException)

@ArdenAnderson - just to eliminate the natural process this time of year… is your council in the midst of recharter? I know I have shown as a person without affiliation many times at this time of year.
