Activity Log Report Does Not Run

So it does this with no action by you? can you click PDF or Run?

No. When i select the scout and choose activity log in the quick report dropdown menu, it just automatically downloads it. It doesn’t open up the screen it used to where I could choose pdf or run.

and it is the quick report - that is different

@EileenWang - it is this one correct:

@EileenWang have you tried an Incognito window?

yes. That is the one.

OH that one? I hate having double reports

The Activities Summary report works

Yes. The Activities summary report works.

Just tried it and got the same result.

@EileenWang - this is the report that generates an error:

yes. That report generates the error. The Activities Summary Report works fine.

@EileenWang - what is your position and your permission settings. There is a matrix for reporting permissions.

I am the Unit Advancement Chair. I don’t think it’s a permissions issue because I was able to print them out a few weeks ago. Also, in the past, when I didn’t have the proper permission for something, I just didn’t have any ability to select that particular thing. With this, I can choose the report, it just automatically downloads a blank file to my computer. I will try to connect with our unit leader today to see if she is still unable to download the reports as well.

@EileenWang - is it your intent to get the csv file ?

No. I actually would like the pdf.

@EileenWang - then you should be in the report menu.

And that will get you the report as pdf or csv. You will need to be mindful of the date range as it will default to current calendar span

@EileenWang - this is the report you are looking for in the reports menu at advancements.scouting.org

Yes. That is the report I am looking for.
Today, I sat down and tried retrieving it by different methods. I tried using the quick report dropdown menu for both “Activity Log Report” and “Activity Log Report by Member ID”. When I click on either of those from the quick report menu, it automatically downloads an empty file named “Troop0300GActivityLogReport_20260328.csv” to my computer. The size of the file on my computer is zero bytes.
Then I tried to go into the actual Reports menu and tried view “Activity Log Report” and it will only gives me the adults in the troop and my scout. However, if I go to the reports menu and select “Activity Log Report by Member ID” and put in the last name and member ID for the individual scouts, I am able to retrieve the reports for that scout. I’m not sure why this is the case but at least it seems that I am able to get the scouts reports when I need them by using that method.

@EileenWang to circle back to this - you are not the UAC - you are assistant SM for troop 300G. That is registered position, and the functional UAC is not given to you.
But as ASM you should be able to run these - so let me take a look
