Activity Logs - "There are no activity logs for this month" when there are

I have two boys in scouts. As of April of this year I suddenly only see a message saying, “There are no activity logs for this month” even though I know we had activities for the month and other parents and scout masters can see that not only do we have events but my scouts are showing as present on the attendance roster. But I can’t see the events and the hours earned from service hours don’t show up in the Service Hour activity logs. I did just join on as an assistant scout master around the same time, I’m not sure if that’s related. I can see events from March 2024 and earlier. Advancement sections still seem to be working as well. (I’m sorry that I don’t have event IDs to include. I can’t find them on events that I can see and of course I can’t see them for the events from April and May and the other parents don’t see one either.)


While the calendar and activity logs are “linked” the log entries are not created automatically. A leader needs to go into the system and create the log entries.

I looked in the DB and neither of your son’s have service recorded for May, 2024.

There is a group calendar event for April that is the one in question (the one with service hours that is, there are other camping trips). Can you please look in April.

They both have 2.5 hours of service on 4/20/24.

Good to know that you can also see that. My whole issue is that other people can see it but I can’t. How do we fix it so that I can see?

In the upper right of the IA window, what role do you have selected? Try switching to the parent role to see if that fixes the issue.

I have a “Scouts BSA” role and then “parent / guardian” for each of my boys. The “parent / guardian” roles don’t have the “activity logs” view so I’m not really sure what you aren’t thinking I can do, am I missing something?

Yes. I can click on all the months. For last year, and up through March of this year I can look at events, add my boys if they were missed or other such things. When it gets to April and May I see nothing but a message “There are no activity logs for this month” message. I do not believe this to be a simple user error issue.

Were they invited to the events - this is really something you need to talk to unit admins about first - they are the first line for something like this for easy answers

and to be clear are you looking at Calendar - or Activities Log - they are different @JamesHunter2

I am talking about activities logs. I don’t think there is an easy answer. It literally worked for the last two years and now it doesn’t show me group events on the calendar even if my kids were marked as having attended. What admins do you think should be helping me? I’ve asked my troop and they can’t help. Who can help me?
