We keep more detailed records about Activities in our third party software. We would like to export/import the subset of Activities (with attendance) that Scoutbook Plus supports, which in turn drive the “Unit Dashboard” summary in my.scouting.org.
With 50+ Scouts in our unit, we do not have the volunteer-power to duplicate the effort to record activities in Scoutbook Plus. Scrolling through the 50 names to choose the 30 Scouts who participated in a New Activity Log is too cumbersome.
@JeffryRussell- the third party app needs to work with scouting america on this.
The third party app (Troopmaster) said us user-types need to request the feature…
Our district chair and council have asked units to enter Activity Logs, but no one up the chain of command knows to whom they should feedback this need for import support.
Your Council can open a ticket with Scouting America Member Care if they feel strongly enough that this feature is needed.
I have seen similar requests in the past that have been rejected by IT as they view this as a one time migration function and so with everything else in the backlog is not something they will entertain.
