I see we can add comments and photos on the web based Scoutbook, but that would be a great feature to include in the smartphone app. This was something the parents in my pack didn’t know was possible from the website.

There isn’t a Scoutbook app. There’s a Scouting app, which reads from the SB database, but only has very limited write access to it.
This is something in the development backlog, but we don’t know when it will be available.
