Advancement error message

Date completed should be later than or equal to the last completed date of all requirements error message

The SUAC team needs more information to investigate. At a minimum, they need:

  • Scouting America Member ID (no names please!) for the scout or scouts for whom you’re getting the error
  • Exact steps you were taking when the error occurred
  • Which platform you were working with (classic Scoutbook vs SB+)

@StephenStefanko

We need the Scouting America Member ID (no names) of the Scout and the award where you are seeing this error message.

Hello - Scout ID 132257576

Star Scout 3/18/2025

Life Scout 9/23/2025

Scoutbook+

@StephenStefanko so which is giving the error? Star or life? I do see one potentail Life issue I turned in

I didn’t notice the issue with STAR until I tried to enter LIFE.

So both really, but I think if STAR accepts then LIFE should?

Thanks!

Have you been able to determine anything regarding this error? Thanks!

@StephenStefanko your information is too unclear/uncomplete to understand what you are seeing - I can setup a screenshare to see it if you want

He completed STAR SCOUT on 3/18/2025. When I enter that date in the BOR date and the completion date as well as checking Mark as Approved/Recorded/Awarded, I get the “Date completed should be later than or equal to the last completed date of all requirements” error message in RED at the top of the page.

Screen share is ok - how do we do that and what is a good time - I realize it’s Sunday - maybe tomorrow sone time?

Yeah something does not add up and might be MBs - BUT the BOR date is 9/15/25 - my eyes on screen would help isolate it compared to a database screen

If I had to guess first guess would be personal management MB is doing it - clear date from it - approve Star - then re-enter date for Management

How do I clear that date?

Unapprove the MB > clear the date to NULL (Or clear one req if all are complete)

Well, somebody (not me) fixed something, because his record is now up to date and correct - thanks for your help!
