Rank Advancement Date of 12/30/25

The AOL advancement date we are trying to enter in Scoutbook Plus is 12/30/24, however the date keeps changing to 12/30/25. (note the 25). We are getting the Alert “Final approved Date and Completion Status is based on required and elected adventures”. The AOLs have completed, and recorded their required and elected adventures. Why does the date keep advancing by one year?

I’m getting the same error for an adventure. It says it was approved on 12/30/24, and marked as completed on 12/31/25.

Some clarification questions to get started:

  1. Is this Scoutbook Plus or the Scouting app?
  2. If Scoutbook Plus, which browser/OS are you using? Have you tried an incognito/private browsing window?
  3. Which adventure(s) is this occurring on?
  4. Are you using quick entry, or entry only for one scout at a time?
  5. Can you please provide BSA ID numbers (no names, please!) for scouts for whom you have observed the issue?

@WhitneyD @JenniferFree I am trying to test this and am confused - the complete date auto-fills in - so we will need more info to understand the issue

  2. This occurs on multiple browsers, including one using private browsing.

  4. I did not use quick entry.

Here are some screenshots in case that helps. First, this one shows the final completion date entry field. The date I entered was 12/30/24, and it was marked approved on that date as well.

I have noticed in the past that the “Marked as complete” date is always one day later than the “Approved” date. Here, however, it is one day and one year later.

The screenshots were helpful, thanks! So, it looks like the issue isn’t with the date of completion itself, but rather with the date marked complete (i.e. the date the system thinks that the data was recorded). Still a bug of some sort, but likely less critical because the rank should be checking the date that’s appearing in the “Final completion date” box to determine eligibility, rather than the date in the tool tip that appears on hover.

Hi, here are the responses to your questions:

  1. Scoutbook Plus

  2. I am using Firefox incognito mode.

  3. This issue of the date advancing one year occurred FIRST on the AOL rank completion screen. Then, as I was trying to fix the issue, it THEN occurred on the Adventure roll up.

  4. One Scout at a time.

  5. 14775352; 140461379. All of the scouts in this AOL Den have the same issue, however, these are the two accounts that I was working on.
