Maybe I am doing this wrong but, camping service and hiking log on the calendar is there away to fill it out prior to the event. We have a parent that sets up the event. Attendance is taken then after the event I have to go back and add camping hiking or service hours to the event. Is there an easier way to do this. Can it be setup when we schedule the event. I dont think we are utilizing this feature correct. I might be wrong.
@T.Krein no. Calendar is a planning document. Logs are an actually happen document. They are different. Therefore you cannot create logs before they happen.

I see what you are saying but lets say we set up a camp say with 2 nights it would be helpful if this could be preset. Then once attendance is taken it would log the nights into camping. Same with hiking and service hours. I understand that summer camp is only 2 nights after the first one. Just kinda thinking of ways to improve our logging. Currently we dont utilize the service camping hiking very well. We currently only rely on the scouts handbook. I am trying to think of ways to make it easier for the committee to track this.

Event Attendance is intentionally different from logs. Lets take your example of a Campout. What is there was also a Hike at camp. All Scout might not go on the Hike, so attendance would not match. That is why with Logs attendance is different from the same event. The current system is easy, fast and most important accurate.

There is an item in the development backlog to default the log entry to those who are marked as having attended in the calendar event.
