Calendar issues after Family Troop conversion

Our units recently went through the family troop conversion. Our girl troop scouts were moved over to our boy troop and that troop was converted into the family troop. All of the events were entered on the girl troop calendar with the boy troop listed as a sub unit. Since the girl troop has been made inactive, I am unable to edit ANY of the events on our calendar. How can I regain access to the events on our calendar?
