Calendar shows Opt Out members

I am sure those smarter than me have already noticed this but why does the Calendar show “Invitee/Attendee” that have opt out?

We usually have a long list of families who are forever no shows and get opt out. It would be HELPFUL if they were not included in the “Invitee/Attendee” drop down of an event or Activity Logs.

@ThomasCline

When the opt-out slider is moved in Scoutbook Plus there are 2 choices, opt-out immediately and opt-out at the end of the term. Only opt-out immediately removes the members from calendar invites.

I suspect if the member opts out at my.scouting.org opt-out at end of term is used. I will confirm with the developers.

I think a lot of mine were opt out last year before these two choices were a selection this year. Not sure what choice they were grandfathered into.

Also, these opt out members show up everywhere a membership list is created: Heath Records, Swimming Classification, School List, Calendar, Activity Logs, etc.

The developers have said opt-out via my.scouting.org uses the immediate option.

The calendar is only updated for members that opt-out after the feature was enabled within the past few months.

Is opt-out different between SB+ and my.scouting?

Most families tell me they aren’t coming back so I (key 3) update the opt-out in SB+ youth profile and choose intimidate (after it became available option).

No but only SB+ gives you the choice of immediate vs end of term.
