Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
In Scoutbook legacy, a camping event is created on calendar. Scouts RSVP. After the event, we check off those that attended. Camping nights were automatically applied to the activity logs of each of those who attended, and they also posted to the troop “dashboard” in my.scouting.org. It all synched and worked together nicely.
Now, going through the same process as above in SB+ the activity logs are no longer reflecting the camping nights. It was much better to have the ability to record camping nights, service hours, and hiking in conjunction with events where the attendance is already being done. Why was this feature eliminated? Help!!
@DeeKivett- in order for the camping nights to show up there either has to be an activity log entry or a log entry made via the calendar event. I can say that if done they do show up in the unit dashboard of my.scouting.org
@DeeKivett- you are incorrect on it not working as it completely does for our units. I have verified the my.scouting numbers against the logs and it is spot on. So how hv you been entering logs in the several years since the logs moved to advancements.scouting.org ?
Let me clarify a bit here folks. Some of this is still working but the new tab in scoutbook plus called activity logs brings a blank page. I can still see logs from dashboard like others show but this tab appears useless. Any ideas?
That Blank page - should show any log you have for Dec 2025. If you have some and it shows nothing - first check “Filter By” at the top. It is also just 12/3/25 - so you could have only 2 days for Activities this month.
And if you save a Calendar event as a campout it means nothing, unless you ADD the Activity to it at the bottom
Thanks Donovan I will recheck the displayed time frames and make sure the activity chair posted it in the lower section and not just marked the attendance.
