Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
We just completed a den campout with family members, so one scout from a different den. To make the ScoutBook calendar allow me to add the sibling pack member the event, I added a second den.
The RSVP and attendance records show the expected attendance for the event. When I try edit the event to add camping and hiking activities to it, ScoutBook tells me there are no attendees for the event. When I look at the RSVP/attendance page, it shows attended for all of the scouts and adults who were on the event.
How do I coerce ScoutBook into allowing me to log the camping nights and hiking miles from the event page? I can create a new event from the activity logs page, but that seems ridiculous because ScoutBook asks for all the event information that’s already associated with the calendar event before it’ll let me record camping and hiking stats.
@RobRydberg it depend on a few things - what is your role (position in Scoutbook)? Who was invited to the event as it was saved? Are you connected to all the Scouts with Edit Advancement (if not a Unit Admin might need to do it)?
I created the event and am a pack admin. The scouts and adults in question both show as yes for RSVP and attended when I look at the event and/or edit it.
If it matters, the event ended at 11am PDT today and it was 4pm PDT today when I tried to log the activities.

Sounds good. I’ll need to get to my desk before I can schedule something, but my Mondays are somewhat sparse. For reference, I’m in the Pacific time zone.

@RobRydberg I will send you a direct message > look at top right Avatar to find it > it will be a green envelope > it will be a private message channel with select members of the Scoutbook User Advisory Council (SUAC)
For anyone stumbling across this thread, the resolution was to create a whole new pack event, that replaces the two-den (i.e. sub-unit) event. Then, the activity association and attendance worked as expected.
A bug got filed for a two sub-unit (den/patrol) event and activity logs.
