Cannot download more than one year of events using extension

My main goal is to get a complete download of events going back a few years so I can record them in Notion, which is easier to use for planning purposes. I want the new den leaders each year to easily go back and see a multi-year record of events for their den’s rank to get ideas for what to plan for the year.

As for my question on the data model, it sounds like we are good - I was just wondering if something we had done on our end had resulted in losing the calendar data for each event.

The events still exist so could the extension instead still download them without the calendar field? Everything else (name, description) is still valid.

OK looks like we are in line then, thank you.

@BrendanCahill - this is the advance den instruction set:

Why would you change the den number? This would require the families to remove the den number strip and see on a new one each year.

When I was with the pack, we assigned the den number when it was created then that number stayed with the den until the scouts moved to a troop. We would reissue the number to a future Lion den.

Sure wasn’t suggesting anything different. I’m just new to managing our Scoutbook account and wanted to make sure I was able to see meetings grouped by Rank across the years and grouped by a particular group of scouts over the years. I see now that we are doing it correctly.

And I realized if I just set the calendar to one den or pack at a time, I am able to do a individual exports using the extension. Just wasn’t able to download the entire history all at once.

@BrendanCahill - final point. If you are changing den numbers as the dens advance then you are not following the pattern we use or the advance den function. Otherwise as Ed pointed out you would have to have all scouts and leaders change their uniform den numbers

Yes, we are doing it the correct way as prescribed. We are not changing Den numbers. I was mistaken originally given my difficulties downloading. But it was unrelated.

@BrendanCahill At this time the only safe thing for me to do so it doesn’t hang with a spinner is ignore it. I cannot replicate the event issue - so I cannot say what would happen if I try to process it further. Untested= bugs!
