Cannot end Den Chief Position - Bug

I’m not able to end any of the Den Chief positions in Scoutbook Plus for any of my Scouts who are no longer in this Position. I see that many other Scouters have logged similar issues (click this link to search for all the other ones Search results for 'end den chief' - Scouting Forums), but nothing in those other forums works for me to fix this issue. Please advise with specific steps to resolve this bug. Better yet, please fix this frustrating bug! There’s no reason why you shouldn’t just be able to enter the end date and be done with it.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Log into Scoutbook Plus as the Scoutmaster (me) with all administrative permissions.
  2. Navigate to a Scout with an active, approved Den Chief position.
  3. Scroll down to the Program Leadership section and click the pencil icon to edit the positions.
  4. Click the pencil icon next to the Den Chief position.
  5. Enter the end date of the position (5/31/2026) and attempt to save the changes.
  6. Observe that the system generates the following error: “Error. There should be at least one active and not ended Den Chief Position record for the given user and unit and userPositionId - organizationGuid: 00CE84E8-A234-49E9-BD97-1D01BB60D533 - userId: 9158316”

@AndrewAlexander1 yes the way DCs were setup is troublesome - I will report this
