Trying to finish up the award “Complete Angler” Scout 130795430 in Council 421 has completed all three badges. Getting error “This requirement can’t be updated. The requirements has linked Advancements” Error pops up after clicking “Save”
Note, I am only reporting this for the unit. I am not a member of that Troop.
@GanttEdmiston - requirement 1a and 1b can not be updated as they would already have a date from when the merit badges were approved. The blue approved text is the clue there. The requirement 1c is puzzling as it should have picked up the date and approval from that merit badge. They can try checking just 1c and use the date from that merit badge as the entry date.
I also had a scout complete Fishing at summer camp. I imported the blackpug data file from camp and the system did not mark Req. 1 done for Complete Angler. I got the same error when trying to mark the award requirement manually. I went back into the scout’s profile and manually unchecked 1 Fishing requirement, saved, re-approved it, saved, and now Req. 1 for Complete Angler is marked complete. Maybe it is an import/rollup issue.
So it took a while to get the unit to try these suggestions. Unfortunately, nothing fixed it. So they used the nuclear approach and just awarded the Complete Angler award. Done.
