Can't Add Event Description on Mobile

I am trying to create an event on Mobile. I cannot save he event without a description but every time I start typing a description in the description field it closes the keyboard on the first letter entered.

The keyboard seems to stay for me on my android phone.

It does not on my Google pixel 8pro.

@RachelVirden - that seems more of a device behavior issue rather than a bug on scoutbook + as i can not replicate your issue.

Developers are trying to repo on an emulator

In case it helps, I’m not seeing this issue on Pixel with Android 14 (fully patched) and Chrome version 126.0.6478.122 (AFAIK fully patched)

I just tried to do it again and here is what I found based on testing remembering the sequence I did yesterday.

If you are creating the event on Mobile and include a description before clicking on create event it works fine.

However, if you enter everything but the description, click create event it then throws the error message that a description is required. If I go back to add a description I get the issue where the field will not accept any input and keeps closing the keyboard. This is what I accidentally did yesterday to prompt the bug submission. I tested this sequence Again today and got the same bug.

I hope this helps isolate the issue.

@RachelVirden - I just tested your scenario of clicking create event without a description, got the error which is by design, and then had no issue typing the description as the keyboard stayed in place. This was on my galaxy 52 work phone. I have yet to be able to replicate your device issue.
