I was able to create an activity logs even but I am not longer able to pick people. I tried on my phone and on my laptop. The phone just shows nothing when I type a name in and the laptop says no data.

I am advancement chair and I have never had an issue before. I logged an event last weekend with no problems.
It looks like your Unit Advancement Chair ended (at my.Scouting) when your position changed. It was added back today, so you probably need to wait for the overnight sync to run.
With all this, I reached out to our COR and SM and they got it corrected but no ones knows why it got changed in the first place. Weird.
Your registered position changed from ASM to Committee Member, and that’s what caused the Unit Advancement Chair functional role to be ended.
Function roles are tied to A Registered position - not a registration period
