In Scoutbook+, when I go to a scout, I can add a new merit badge, but I can’t assign a counselor to him. It tells me to go to Legacy SB. When I go there, and click on the scouts “advancement” tab it brings me back to SB+ and now I’m in an endless loop. I tried to add a counselor through connections, but I can’t so that without the counselor scouter ID and when I do a lookup on the counselor, I can get his name, phone, email, location but not his ID, so I can’t use Connections to add the counselor. This makes it very difficult to use SB or SB+ to indicate progress of a scout on merit badges.
Go to either the Scout’s Connections page in Legacy Scoutbook go to the Scout’s Merit Badge page, select the Badge. If you get a screen that says to enter as Leader or Merit Badge Counselor, click the Merit Badge Counselor option. The Feature Assistant Extension for Scoutbook for Chrome and Firefox option to lookup and connect a Counselor will be on that page. This will let you search for and connect the MBC in one step.
