Invite Merit Badge Counselor for Scout

I am trying to connect a scout with a merit badge counselor. I have started the merit badge for the scout, but when I click “invite merit badge counselor”, it takes me to the “add connections” page. in the past, it would allow me to search and link a counselor. Is this something only parents/scouts can do for themselves?

BTW: I have seen some posts where people can’t find counselors after the end of the year. I suspect that is a registration issue having to do with either YPT or paying dues.

That is how scoutbook has always worked without the feature assistant extension. The extension may provide different behavior. If you often use it, I’d try turning it on.

With Scoutbook Feature Extension you see this and the search I think you are talking about
