Can't define teams / patrols to Exploring Post roster

When we access our post’s roster (myself as our committee chair as well as our post advisor) we do not have an option to add patrols (which I know appears for a troop using the tool). This is inability to define teams/patrols impacts our ability to use the scoutbook calendar feature as we are also unable to assign a unit/sub-unit to calendar events (since we are unable to define such units / sub-units in the roster).

Comparable screenshot from a local Troop (header includes option to ‘add patrol’):

Have never heard of sub-units in Explorers. A request for them would need to come from the National Exploring Office, and even then not sure IF it could be done.

Related to this (and how I discovered the missing ‘add patrol’ option) is there a different way to create events on the calendar (assigning to the Explorer unit as a whole)? Right now, it seems only sub-units are exposed as possible assignments.

Concerning sub-units, our post is a robotics team focused post. As such we have various sub-teams (think programming, CAD, engineering, development, recruitment,…) it would be helpful to have the ability to assign members to specific teams where they primarily focus (and ability to communicate to specific sub-teams without adding noise to the other sub-teams).
