I can’t edit calendar events event though I’m a troop admin and was able to edit just a couple of weeks ago. What have I missed in recent changes and how do I fix it???
@AudreyReed - are you also a parent of a scout? The selector in the upper right should be on your scoutmaster role.
Are these event with another unit ? You might not have the rights in that unit.

A major focus of the migration to Scoutbook Plus is to have positions mirror the positions shown in My.Scouting to ensure positions were reflected accurately in both platforms. The main purpose it to honor the guidance of our charter organizations and the positions they approve. Therefore, Scoutbook Plus does not use Legacy Scoutbook positions. Registered positions are used to provide base permissions. Some additional permissions can be added by the unit, however, there are restrictions on what can be given. See Scoutbook_Permissions.pdf and the Scoutbook Plus permissions video for more details.

Yes, but the correct role is selected. (even though the default keeps changing back to my MBC role every few weeks and I go reset it in my profile - super annoying/frustrating)
@AudreyReed - is the event linked to both units.. if so your ASM position does not allow you edit rights. A key 3 in that unit will need to modify your permissions in that unit.

Although I realize my question made it seem like I hadn’t read anything, I actually had. I probably should have said that frankly it was confusing and I couldn’t make enough sense out of it to figure out what needed to be fixed. But it’s all good. Stephen was able to point me in the right direction.

Follow up question - I was also Troop Admin for the boys’ troop (not just ASM). Do did troop admin permissions not get migrated to the new structure? (Trying to figure this out because we’ll need to fix other’s as well if that’s the case)

Therefore, Scoutbook Plus does not use Legacy Scoutbook positions
Good to know. Then why does it still say “troop admin”? It makes it seem like it still means something.
@AudreyReed - that i can not tell you, but i suspect it might be reading that from classic scoutbook. Everything is real positions and permissions now so ignore that.
