Citizenship in Society

• An issue that allowed Citizenship in Society (CIS) Merit Badge (MB) to be started in Scoutbook Plus after it was retired has been fixed. Scouts that started to work on CIS prior to February 27, 2026 are eligible to continue working on the MB and complete it prior by December 31, 2026. If the Scout has started working on CIS but did not start it in Scoutbook prior to February 27, 2026, the MB must be tracked via physical Blue Card and the Council registrar can enter the completion date. It will not be possible to track this MB in Scoutbook Plus.

Does this also mean if a Scout started prior to 2/27/26 but it was being tracked in Troopmaster (or another 3rd party system) that the upload to https://advancements.scouting.org/ will not work?

@KennethLaCrosse - my reading is that if started prior to 2/27 they have until the dec date to finish which should be able to be uploaded

@KennethLaCrosse as long as date is before 12/32/26 on CIS you should be good is what I understand.
