We have a den chief that is assigned to one of our Dens, however he is not able to receive any calendar invites or email messages from the Den Leaders because he is not showing up in either the calendar invite list or when sending messages as youth to send messages to.
Is there something special that needs to be done so he can receive emails and calendar invites?
His BSA ID is 13688803
Thank you,
Darren
They need to have their own my.scouting username to receive the messages. Or did you mean their parents don’t receive them either?
I actually see they do have a username. But I think the issue may be that they have two den chief positions. I’m not sure if that could be confusing the system, but I’d try removing the one not assigned to the den if that’s even possible to figure out.
Can you remove the one on the back end that is not connected to the Pack? I can’t tell which one is connected and which one is not.
Good Afternoon. I am just follow-up on that status of getting my den chief into communications lists for the den he is attached to?
Thanks for your help.
Removing is something the troop can do by ending the position - or talk to council to send in a Membercare ticket on the issue - include a clear detailed account of the issue.
ok thank you.
What is the proper procedure for adding a Den Chief to the Pack. Does the Pack add the den chief to their roster by Last Name and BSA ID and then it goes to the Troop for approval OR does the Troop just add the Leadership position to the Scout on the Troop side and then the Pack is notified and places them in a Den?
Thanks,
The DC process is not clean is the first thing I will say. The Only way to add to a Pack, is for the Pack to Invite the DC with the Add Individual in SB+ Roster. Then there is a process of emails and sign ins that run with the Scouts unit to approve it. It is not a foul-proof process though.
