Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
I’m an advancement chair for a B and a G troop, which show up as separate units in Scoutbook / Scoutbook Plus. For the G troop, I’m trying to enter advancements and make a Purchase Order. I was able to Approve badges, open a Purchase Order, add entries to the order, and I can view the order (10 items at a time) on my screen.
If I try to click Download Purchase Order In Store, I get an error message that I don’t have permissions. I only get this error for the G troop and not for the B. I was able to do this for both units in Legacy Scoutbook.
The error says
{
"ResponseDate": "20250929102826",
"ResponseValue": "",
"ResponseInfo": "",
"ResponseCode": "-100",
"ResponseMessage": "Access to report is denied. You do not have required positions\/permissions to run this report."
}
Thanks for any info you can provide about how to fix.
Yes - I have the role for the G troop selected in the upper right. I can download the Advancement Report and I can choose to add to Scoutshop Online Cart, but I get the permissions error if I try to Download Purchase Order in Store, or Download CSV from above the list
@GeorgeHassel- and that would be the unit that works i gather. And yes scoutbook classic did not pull rights from my.scouting.org. So the other unit will need to add that role.
Thanks - I was able to get our Chartered Org rep to add the functional role to both and now it seems to be working. It’s weird that I could do everything else up to that, but seems to be set now. I appreciate the assistance
