Eagle palm progress no longer visible

Eagle palms in Scoutbook illustrated the MB’s correlating to each one. It was easy for a scout to see, “if I just complete these two merit badges it will complete my next palm.” Now, there is nothing. On a palm in “awards” you see a progress bar, but not which merit badges are counted in that progress and which “partials” might be next in queue if completed. It now requires someone to go back and count, assuming they remember the numbers required for eagle and how many extra for palms, etc.

This is so discouraging. Every time I post, all I ever get is “watch for updates, someone is working on it” but I can’t find the updates and the problems are still there.

@DeeKivett- here is a change log link

Beyond that the Scouts BSA History report will give you the palm progress and partial merit badges

BSA History report requires the admin to go outside the main page, taking multiple extra steps. It was great having it on the page with the palm as it used to be represented in Scoutbook legacy.

@DeeKivett - i can get to the BSA history report right from the unit page in classic and from the left hand reports option in scoutbook plus.

I get it. Parents don’t know how to use “reports” generally. All my notes come from the perspective of having used scoutbook for ten years now (even before BSA purchased it)… Some things are just intuitive to some if you know the system but not to others, and I can barely get parent families taught how to view progress on a badge, much less using reports. The request is simple… in SB plus, currently there are the requirements listed for “scout spirit” etc. since the last palm. In the past, the MB’s linking to that palm were illustrated, along with their individual progress, on that page view within the data entry point for the specific palm. Now it is no longer there and the admin has to close that palm, go back out to a different page, pull up the history report, check status, etc. It is a small thing compared to other issues on the plate right now, but it happened to be the one I was in “today.”

@DeeKivett - and as a test I logged in with my son’s account and can print out the Scouts BSA History report from classic scoutbook from the individual page. Besides the advancements is the scout’s not the adults. If you want changes to my.scouting or advancements.scouting.org your course of action is to work with your council to have them submit the request(s).
