When using Scoutbook Plus to generate an Eagle candidate’s Eagle Scout rank application, it is using the June 2022 version of the ESRA 512-728.
However, there is a more current version of the ESRA, that Scoutbook should be using from April 2024.

In the field, we strongly encourage Scouts to always use the latest forms, and are asking the Scoutbook IT group to change to the latest form, when using the awesome ESRA generation tool, in Scoutbook Plus.

We are aware of the issue. The 2022 version can still be used. There were just a few wording changes on some of the field instructions. Nothing of consequence.

The form will eventually be updated but maybe not until the next release when a Scouting America form is issued.

Yeah it is just a red sentence deleted saying to not use too many letters - we asked Scouts Program if a new Scouting America is being released before that Dev time was spent for something replaced in 2 months

Honestly, who do I need to put in some change requests for this application?
How is that done?

  1. Top right corner: NST needs to be changed to CST ( which is the new acronym for Council Service Territory)
  2. In requirement #2, “Address”, should also have “City State Zip”. We get too many eagle candidates only putting the street address.

This would need to be fed to your Council staff. They will need to pass it on to National.
