The 2024 version only has a minor, insignificant change to one of the instruction lines. The 2022 version is still acceptable.
Because it is expected the application will be updated again soon with Scouting America branding there is no plan to update the version in Scoutbook until that time.

My District just announced that they will not accept the old version of the Eagle Application anymore. They will only accept the April 2024 revision of the Eagle Application.
Is it possible to get the new version loaded into the Scoutbook report?
The Scoutbook report has been an enormous help in making sure that the Eagle Applications don’t have any typos for dates.

Your council will need to open a ticket with BSA IT as there is no current plan to update Scoutbook until the new version with Scouting America branding is release or until there is a new version that contains updated data fields.
You Council should check with the Scouts BSA program office in Irving before making the unilateral decision not to accept the Scoutbook produced version.

yeah the authority Districts have is limited if not laughable - the pain they can cause units if not checked - I acknowledge - is an issue

I just heard back from Garfield Murden, National Director of Scouts BSA. He said the version of the Eagle Application in Scoutbook (2022) can be used and that the Scoutbook team should not update the version of the Eagle Application produced by Scoutbook until after it is rebranded with Scouting America.
