I entered a merit badge with requirement from summer camp on the wrong scout. I unchecked the approved button and deleted the completion date, but then I get this warning and it won’t let me hit ok. “Are you sure? This advancement is completed/approved. Recording progress on this requirement may adjust final completion/approval status and date.”
I am trying to remove all of the requirements and completion marked off on it, but it won’t let me proceed. Any tips to fix this? Thanks!
Was this MB used to complete Req 3 of Star or Life? If so, is the rank approved?
No, it’s a her 9th non-eagle mB, so not used for rank. Also the next rank of life is not approved.
Are all of the individual requirements for the merit badge marked off? If so, you will need to remove at least one of them before you can remove the date for the overall merit badge.
Yes, all of the individual requirements are marked off. I’m trying to uncheck the individual requirements and that is where this error is happening. It wont let me save the change with the deleted completion date. I hit ok when the warning comes up, but it does nothing. The warning box won’t go away unless I hit cancel on it.

That’s exactly what I have done, but when I try to hit the ok button after I erase the completion date, it just freezes and won’t let me actually hit the ok button. I can cancel out of it, but the ok button doesn’t work. I was able to take the mark as approved off of all of them, but it won’t let me remove the completion date on each item.
I even tried changing browsers hoping it was just a glitch with chrome. I even tried it on my phone. I still can’t hit the ok button.

I sent you an email. I got one requirement to go away, but the others still won’t respond. But that’s progress. Haha

I have a similar issue. I have added some new merit badges and somehow (I did not check awarded) they are checked awarded and won’t move to my advancement report so I can add badge to purchase order. So I try uncheck “awarded” and get the error about being linked to a rank. Well he had that rank (except Eagle) before I added these new badges. How the heck can I uncheck it so it will add to Advancement, and then purchase.
@StephaniePotts - I believe that is an advisory notice not an error. I would click OK then unchecked the awarded and then save.
@StephaniePotts - you could also post the member id of the scouts and which merit badges and the suac can take a look
