One of our Scouts has earned several segments of the National Outdoor Badge, I was able to add the segments earned, however the devices can not be recorded, each time I submit, the error code “Could Not Determine Previous Device Award” is returned. There are 4 segments I am trying to record new devices for, 2 are previously awarded, and 2 were just earned, however all are receiving the same error and I am unable to record the awards. Any suggestions on how to handle this? I am using Scoutbook Plus to enter the awards.
Are you referring to the National Outdoor Achievement Award (NOAA)? I do not know of a National Outdoor Badge.
There are know issues with NOAA and its devices. The developers are working on a solution.

Yes, that is the one. The form name on top is “Application for National Outdoor Badge”, but that is the correct award. Thank you for the guidance!
Same issue. We are able to enter a scouts first device and at that point we should be able to add the center emblem. Currently we get the error message “Could Not Determine Previous Device Award”. We will still purchase the center emblem but it says there are no requirements for the center emblem and so we think that we should be able to add it when the first device is entered.

This one has been reported as in the works for some time now. Can we add that eagle palms have the same issue?? Any update on those? I have a scout who is 18 and I need to close out his official records before he applies as adult. It wont allow me to close his palms…. Similar error.message.
@DeeKivett- the eagle palms have been reported numerous times. Watch the change log for an update.
@DeeKivett Have you asked your local council to try adding the Palms? If they are unable to add them, they can submit a help ticket.
I am having the same issue with the aquatics device. I have a scout that has earned the silver award but it will not allow me to enter this. I have even tried to add all 3 gold awards up to the silver and still nothing.
Any help would be great with this issue.
