@MaiTran - do you have a guide to advancement handyā€¦ if not you ought to and have a good understanding of the BSA BoR rules

@Stephen_Hornak - we are a brand new troop, just over 6 months. This was a way to help some new members get familiarize with the rank and process as a reference.

Please note we also printed for each scout so they can review individually at meetings / camps.

@MaiTran - as a point of orderā€¦ the scouts should have their handbooksā€¦ that is their point of reference. Do you really have the guide to advancementā€¦ if so please let me know what 4.2.1.1 states

Beyond that who is the scout and is the advancement theirs or yours

Thereā€™s nothing wrong with making sure the scoutā€™s handbook and advancement in Scoutbook match. The more frequently thatā€™s checked, the better.

If possible, I would like to loop back to the bug reported. Currently thereā€™s 8 scouts and 2 of them are receiving ā€œWhoops!..ā€ message.

@MaiTran For the scouts that get the whoops message, can you check their membership. Do they have one and only one current membership? Are they assigned to patrols? Iā€™m not sure if that matters, but Iā€™m looking for a common theme to report to the developers.

@MaiTran Do you get the error any time you include those two scouts, including in batch?

@jacobfetzer - hope these details are helpful, please let me know if you need more:

  1. They should have just one membership
  2. Yes, they are assigned to a patrol
  3. Yes, error occurs when running as a batch.

I recall for one scout the TAC asked me to help undo a skipped rank. Same, not sure if this matters but this is the only difference I can think of.

If a tester/developer could help check with these repro steps:

  • Member is a Scout rank
  • Member marked Second Class as completed (before Tenderfoot)
  • Admin undo the Second Class completion
