Exporting Activities from SB/IA2

Fellow Scouters,

As AdvChair for dual Troops, the ability to run activity history reports in SB is crucial. The changeover to IA2 improved activity reporting - with a rough learning curve - but it limited our reporting ability to only a webpage and PDF report.

Some of us miss the prior capability to export the detailed history report to a CSV file for use outside of SB. In IA2, I found a hidden/obscure method to export an activity summary report to CSV. While we await the return of detailed export feature… I hope is useful to some of you.

Login to IA2, goto Roster, do not select any scouts, go across the gray heading bar to “Run Report”, then select “Activity Summary Report”, select desired range of dates, and run report.
From there you can export the summary to a CSV file.

This is awesome! I do a backup every month or two just in case.

This should be added to the Scoutbook menu for backups/exports. I know that this is IA2, but is all we have. That, or this should be added to a new IA2 backup menu.
