Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
I’d like to request a feature enhancement to the my.Scouting Troop Recognition Report so that it includes youth leadership positions (Positions of Responsibility) with dates for current and historical Scouts. This report already provides advancement, awards, Order of the Arrow, and training history for Scouts who are no longer registered if the date range covers their service period. Including leadership history would help units with historical reporting, Eagle verification, and archiving leadership service.
(If you are reporting an issue with My.Scouting, please include all of the following items so we can better assist you: 1) Hardware: Desktop or Mobile (if mobile, please be specific) 2) Operating system 3) Browser 4) Browser cache has been cleared or you are using a private browsing mode (aka Incognito Window in Chrome) 5) Member ID & Council of person affected Thank you!)
@ElainePosanka - since this seems like historical reference.. how about the Scouts BSA History Report. The recognition report is meant for CoH use not as an archival system
Yes the history report is good but you can only run it on scouts currently assigned to the unit. I try to download it before each scout ages out or otherwise leaves but I haven’t always done that. The Troop recognition report includes all scouts ever registered with the unit, their rank, merit badges, special awards, training, and OA dates. I ran one from the date we first chartered (2019 so we have used ScoutBook from the very beginning) to the present and got all that valuable data for our historian. There’s also an activity report you can run on camping/hiking/service that likewise includes every scout ever. Seems only the history of youth positions of responsibility is inaccessible.
Awesome. I will try that. But it looks like you can only run it for 2025. I have an old Charter Renewal Report that gave me the numbers of all but about 15of the prior members.
