Question on How to Run Historical Leadership Reports

I need to research all youth Instructors in my troop between August 2022 and August 2023. Is there a way to do this without having to run each individual scout’s history?

@ToddWilliams well you can run Roster Builder - Show Positions, Show Tenure to get some of it? Why do you need the data? This will only show current scouts, not scouts out of unit

Theoretically, with the name and BSA ID number for each scout, I believe that a Unit Admin/Key 3/Key 3 Delegate could run a Scouts BSA History report for any past scouts for whom positions were recorded in Scoutbook (not necessarily guaranteed to have been done).

ETA: Like Donovan, I’m not clear why this would be needed data. I think it could be generated as long as it was originally entered in Scoutbook, although not necessarily conveniently formatted.

Thanks, I tried roster builder and that produced only current positions, not historical. I’m not going to have time to do a scout-by-scout search…so this might just be a bust.
The reason I wanted to run this report is because I have a Life Scout who is convinced he held an instructor position during that 8/22-8/23 time frame to satisfy Eagle requirement #4 (6 months of leadership). After 8/23 he went mostly inactive. We keep pretty good records but are not perfect) and I can not find any evidence of his holding that position. I wanted to check all my other scouts to see if anyone else held an instructor position during that same period as that would help narrow down whether it is a records issue or a scout’s memory issue.

Well @ToddWilliams SM to SM that is a tough one. The “we keep pretty good records” is a tough one to place on a scout without certainty. Yours is a healthy Troop but not huge - just 10-12 Scouts Maybe in that range for the position.

Perhaps have other Scouts affirm the scout was an instructor - Scout is Trustworthy. Maybe ask past SPLs?

Thanks Donovan, please understand my comments were given to provide context only. There is more detail and context that was not conveyed as this is not the proper forum for such a discussion. We are still in the research phase focused on gathering facts. I do understand and appreciate your advice.
