I am looking for a sample template to use for advancement import. The 3rd parties are still using csv format.
@DanielStalsitz - where are you importing from ? If it is doubleknot there has not ever been a methode to import their csv data
Also, FYI, Scouting America doesn’t publish the import format except to 3rd party vendors who have an agreement with them. If there’s a vendor who is advertising exports compatible with SB/SB+, and those exports aren’t working, they need to work directly with their Scouting America IT contact to get any information they need to fix their export file formats. As users, customers of those third-party vendors will need to push that vendor to make the fixes.
There are 2 imports.
- is a TXT import some will see in the SB+ roster. That is an ancient replacement that only imports Completed items - like Finsh date for a rank or Merit Badge.
- There is a CSV import for Summer Camp for BlackPug - that uses an extension to work. - Importing Merit Badge Advancement from Scouting Event (Black Pug) - Scoutbook Knowledge Base
The File template is not an open document as it is pretty complex and is too easy to make mistakes on, that is why IT works with trusted 3rd party DEVs to get it right.
To use that extension, the troop needs to be visible in Scoutbook legacy, but I’ve got nothing in that portal.

you need to click on Administration then your unit if you have the chrome extension installed
